Strategic Account Manager

Pacific are a Basingstoke-based IT and Audio Visual Solution Provider with a track record of great service and innovative approaches to business problems. The range of our services run from the provision of outsourced IT functions such as our IT Service Desk, to the design, installation and support of Audio Visual for themed attractions, via Corporate AV with boardroom fit-outs and video-conferencing, and Education environments with the latest learning tools. It’s all underpinned with our ISO9001-certified management systems, our participation in major purchasing frameworks, and our own, award-winning, system and service designs.

Our field sales team of Strategic Account Managers do a great job for our clients, keeping in touch throughout the project lifecycle, from spotting the opportunity to help, to providing ongoing support for finished projects. It’s our model for Sales as we care about outcomes of our projects, and we encourage ownership, responsibility, and the sense of achievement that comes with it. We build on our relationships, our successes, and our failures, to learn, to be recommended, and to unearth new opportunity.

To help our team build on that success, and to help our clients get the most from Pacific, we are looking to recruit more people to join that team. We need proven sales people from an IT or Audio Visual background, used to creating their opportunities and following them through the sales cycle. You’ll be passionate about delivering for your customer, and about how technology can be used. You’ll be inventive, looking for new routes to market and opportunities. And you’ll be driven to succeed, working with the rest of team at Pacific to get the best outcomes for yourself and your clients.

With the responsibility of overseeing our relationships with key clients, our Strategic Account Managers are given the authority to act as they need to within their accounts, are trusted by the management team to have the company’s interests at heart, and have a say in the development and actions of the company, for example, with regard to resourcing and marketing.

To be considered for this role we need people who can demonstrate the following attributes;

  • Proven success at solution and project selling in an IT or Audio Visual environment
  • Proven ability to build commercial relationships via phone/email/in person, and evidence of trust in your ability from your clients
  • Competent PC user
  • Accurate written communication skills
  • A strong desire to help our clients, and our internal teams

We are open Mon-Fri 0900-1730 with 1 hour for lunch, and offer a pension and 23 days annual leave. These roles will attract a competitive basic salary based on experience, uncapped commission, phone, laptop and company vehicle/allowance.
